My name is Rachael Butler and I am a San Francisco-based psychotherapist who has been working with individuals and couples since 2009. 

I help people overcome emotional barriers to restore healthy self-image and intimacy in relationships.

I've met many ambitious professionals in the Bay Area who pour their energy and devotion into their work but are silently struggle with feelings of loneliness, anxiety and emptiness underneath. My clients are wonderful, gifted people who've fallen into the traps of busyness, burn out, imbalance, and reliance on digital intimacy. I work with everyone from tech company professionals to entrepreneurs, doctors, mothers, engineers, ministers and artists and discovered that we all long for authentic and deep connection with ourselves and others.

My style is compassionate, playful and heartfelt. I work with both men and women. I’m experienced in working with adult attachment issues, codependent relationships, adults from neglectful or abusive families, victims of sexual abuse, eating disorders, social anxiety, spiritual abuse, issues related to identity and problems with emotional intimacy.
